Meet Gabe with the Good Goods.

A passion for preservation, restoration, and cool stuff.

It all began with a passion for a cozy space that grew way out of control.

Like most collectors, I found myself in a cycle of buying and replacing things that I found in thrift stores. Dressers, lamps, lounge chairs, art—you name it. I was posting my to-be-replaced items online for sale and everything would usually find a new home pretty quickly. I have a knack for finding things that are generally pretty desirable.

A young man with short dark hair, wearing a sleeveless black shirt, ripped black jeans, and snake-print shoes, is in a kitchen holding a large, atomic two-tier lamp shade, above his head with one hand, smiling at the camera.

Previously, I was a chef, so I rarely had free time. When I did, I spent the vast majority of that time traveling hundreds of miles across the region following good leads on fabulous items. Sometimes it was a Facebook marketplace post, other times an auction ad, or an estate sale ad—anything with cool mid century furniture.

In July of 2025, I had to have surgery for carpal tunnel. A disappointing ailment for someone so young, but an all-too-common injury in my previous profession. In that month, I turned to selling bits of my collection on my Instagram to make up for lost income. In that same month, people seemed so excited by my increased activity on Instagram that I ended up making more in one month that I did in six at the restaurant. That’s when I knew I had a calling that was outside of the kitchen. So, I took a terrifying leap of faith, quit my job, and founded Gabe’s Good Goods, LLC.

Six molded plywood chairs arranged on a concrete surface in front of a concrete wall, with sunlight casting shadows.

Since starting this business, I have spent nearly 40 hours a week on the road chasing my favorite goods. The Good Goods, if you will. I find them from anywhere and everywhere, and bring them home with me in my little red Honda Element. Sometimes items just need a good cleaning. Sometimes they need some repairs, or a new coat of lacquer. Other times, they need a full restoration. I do my best to identify a good’s needs and act accordingly to keep my product high-quality, and affordable, while maintaining the integrity and originality of the design.

You won’t find me doing back-yard DIY projects. No chalk paint, no half measures, no “customizations” that disrespect the rare materials that are used in the products I sell. I passionately believe that preservation of the goods, especially of high-quality goods, made with high-quality materials, is of the utmost importance. We simply never will have old growth teak, or walnut, or rosewood ever again. So, I am doing my best to play a role in ensuring that the materials from the species that we sent into endangerment with irresponsible manufacturing in the 20th century are preserved, restored, and respected.

Thank you for joining, and supporting me on my journey to save and re-home all the Good Goods, and rare materials that we love so much. I hope that eventually I can furnish your home with the product of my passion.
