A really cool chair, with a huge personality, and a lot of potential for a very fun person. I can’t wait to see the home this ends up in. This is probably my favorite chair that I have ever owned, and I wish I could keep it forever.
High quality plywood construction with original finish still in wonderful condition. Very fun to assemble, but not particularly easy if you don’t have a reference photo of it to use.
This particular chair is often attributed to Hungarian designer Ilonka Karasz, but I have been unable to find any primary source materials that would corroborate such a claim. It is reminiscent of her style, but may well be a different artist’s work who really deserves more credit than they’re getting.
